My Bridesmaids Said Yes to the Dress!

So today I got to get back into wedding planning by FINALLY going bridesmaid dress shopping. The original appointment had been booked for March 23rd then was postponed, and we got into for today June 14th. It went very well, my ladies loved their first choices which worked out so well!

I did have to slightly adapt my color scheme, as only my MoH dress was available in the color I wanted (Oasis Teal), in time to arrive before the wedding. So the other two we switched to another color (Burgundy) in my palette. Just happy that it worked out and we can cross that off the list.

It was nice to have a hopeful feeling day and spend time with my ladies talking about the wedding!

The experience as Davids Bridal was fine - we were the only appointment in the bridesmaid section of the store, and we just had to wear masks. Otherwise everything felt "normal".

    These are gorgeous choices! David’s bridal is always such a good choice for colour options and pricing. And I love your colours! Sounds pretty.

    Gotcha!! They did not get in touch with me either, I was a bit aggressive at getting an appointment in as soon as they knew they would be open haha. I have a friend who needed alterations and they did not contact her either to re book. I think their customer service levels are so so to be honest! But the price is right.


    Anyway as you said all good for this year, so sorry you had to postpone the reception! Hoping you have a beautiful intimate ceremony day this year Smiley smile

    I just checked online and yes you’re right they say they are open! Very strange they never tried to get in touched with me after canceling twice. I mean either way it doesn’t really matter anymore for me as we are only doing a reception next year.

    I live in Alberta so our David’s opened up June 1st for appointments. I’m not sure about the other Canada locations - their website says all their stores are open now.

    Just wondering what province do you live in?
    We had our original appointment at David’s bridal in April but they obviously were closed due to Covid then I tried to get in contact with them in late May when phase 1 happend thinking they might be open. and told me they weren’t opening yet. I live in Ontario.
    Either way we decided to do a more intimate ceremony this year and a reception next year because we wouldn’t know what is going on till a month and half before our wedding. so my bridesmaid wouldn’t need their dress yet till next year now. But I was wondering as I thought David’s bridal we’re still closed.

    This entire pandemic situation has put so much into perspective regarding the wedding details - I feel like things like colours of the dresses just stopped being a thing to freak out over. It was just great to be able to get proper bridesmaid dresses, as we were thinking at one point it would end up being a whatever you can find on the rack kind of thing haha.

    I will just be so grateful and glad if we get to have our full wedding day Smiley smile
