Most Likely To Have Their Phone Ring During The Ceremony

Joey, on October 22, 2018 at 08:05 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 17

One of the biggest wedding faux pas is a phone blasting during a solemn moment of your ceremony. Fear of this sort of interruption is another reason why lots of couples opt for an unplugged ceremony. Whose phone never stops ringing?

Whose phone is most likely to ring during the ceremony?

Probably one of my sisters, though my fiancé and I are going to have an unplugged ceremony sign near the ceremony area so hopefully that helps.

It’d be my dad for sure, with his loud ringtone!

My dad, he has a work cell and doesn't often get calls so would probably forget to turn the volume off.

My sister's fiance - he owns his own business and is ALWAYS on call, so I won't be surprised!

This didn't happen during our ceremony at all, our minister made an annoucement at the beggining and told everyone no photography and phones on silent. We just wanted everyone to be present in the moment and not taking a million selfies. It worked Smiley smile

Hoping this won't happen. We will be making an announcement that the ceremony is unplugged. I do not want cell phones in the way of my photographers getting pictures!

I don’t think anyone. The one guy who gets lots of phone calls is also very good about keeping his phone silent when needed so

Unplugged ceremony = there will be a reminder to keep your phones & cameras away, as well as turning off your phones (vibrating phone in the middle of quiet vows are also distracting... so fingers crossed it doesn't happen).

Again, with the unplugged ceremony, we'll have a reminder from our officiant to silence all phones. If anyone, it'd be someone who has an on-call job who can't necessarily silence a work call. There isn't many and those who are would be out-of-town so they shouldn't be on-call. My friend's mom is a on call-nurse so it could be her.

Ceremony being unplugged, it shouldn't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if my FH's brother forgot to turn his phone off.

Once again, we will have a pretty strict unplugged ceremony. Guests will have a sign, as well as a few warnings before the ceremony starts to turn their devices off or silent. We'll probably have the officiant make some "bridezilla" or "wrath of the bride" jokes about guests having to deal with me of their phone goes off or is out.

I also agree 100% with Tori, I've noticed it's usually the older guests that don't put their phone on silent and then it goes off.

Basically any of the older generation. For the most part it's the people under the age of 30 that know how to silence their phones - it's the people who once complained about cell phones that don't even know how to put them on silence or forget to do so.

Truly sad to see the older generation of people be so careless - this is what happened at my Gigi's funeral... So incredibly disappointing...
