More bridesmaids or groomsmen?

I had 5 bridesmaids (3 sisters and 2 friends) and my husband had 1 groomsman (his brother/Best Man). We were supposed to have 4 groomsmen but the rest bailed for various reasons.

For the ceremony, we had two of my sisters stand on the groom's side since they were close with him. That way the sides were even and it symbolized the joining of our families!

Well we finally discussed his groomsmen because my bridesmaids & MOH were already chosen. so 1 best man 3 groomsmen and 1 MOH obviously and 7 bridesmaids plus my will be 10 & 11 yr old sons.

We are an even number FH wanted his 2 brothers and I have my BFF since we were 12 and my sister-in law (who has been in the family for 15 years)

We have four bridesmaids and two groomsman. I don't have siblings but we wanted to include his sister, and my two best friends. And I'm super close with his cousin so since he isn't inviting any cousins I included her so she could attend the wedding! I have 30 first cousins and he has about 15 so we couldn't invite them all (our wedding is 40 including us)

We have an even number and hope it stays that way.

Originally I had 4 girls and my FH had 2 guys because we only wanted those in the wedding party who would do anything for us and mean a lot to us. My fh has now become super close with 2 friends from church who are truly amazing guys and we have added them in and so now we have an even number on both sides !!
