If you can only use one initial for engraving/monograms on accessories and jewelry, would you use the letter of the first name or last name?

It's not for the couple (us) but others. I also have the option of using the initials of the full name but then one of them would spell ASS hahaha

I think if its wedding related and all parties will end up with the same last name I would go with last name. If not I would go with first name.
