Mixed metal wedding set?

Michelle, on December 6, 2019 at 08:29 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 6

Hey everyone,

With 2020 quickly approaching I'm starting to think more about the details of my wedding day, and my FH wants to look at wedding bands soon.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a rose gold band for myself, even though it wouldn't match my engagement ring which is white gold. I do really love rose gold and how it looks on my skin-tone.

Would it look too weird to be paired with white gold? Have any of you done different coloured bands for your wedding sets?

If you love it, then go for it. I dont think its weird.

Actually last week or so my FH showed me a few pics of mixed gold wedding bands. They were really nice.

I think that would look great. If you aren't sure ask what the jeweler has in rose gold that you can try on with your ring to see how it looks together.

I actually wanted to mix rose and white gold! My engagement ring and wedding band are white gold, but I think my third band (*push present*) will be rose gold. It's a gorgeous combo!

Mix away! If you don't mind it then go for it. I know I like the uniform look for my rings but I'm very black & white when it comes to things like that.

I don't think there's anything wrong with mixing and matching! I would just suggest to test it out to make sure you like the two tone look in reality and not just in theory. There's nothing set in stone that they absolutely have to match. Pretty sure my grandmother's don't match actually!
