My sister did this and it turned out really nicely! (See attached photo!) Plus, I am going to do it for my wedding! I'm excited about it. At the end of the day I couldn't decide on one colour for my girls!

I love mismatched! I gives place to so much creativbity and freedom to bridesmaids to decide con their own look and it always looks absolutely gorgeous! What colours are you going for, for your wedding?

For earthy tones, I really like this idea:

The colour is not the same for everyone, but they all have earth tone colours.

Like Maly suggested, you could make a colour scheme or combination and hand it to your bridesmaids.

As for the groomsmen, I like the subtle mismatch suits in the picture you posted. They also look quite similar and there are different looks you could god for. I suggest a few here:

Agree with simone- keep the colours "related" and I think it will look great! Your idea for earth tones will be beautiful.

Even rainbow would be nice- if it fits the theme! I think people run into mis-match hell when they don't have a visual flow to things.

I have not tried this but am going to for our wedding. I think the only time it would be too much if the mismatch party are not complimentary to each other.

Yea! And for the suits. I'm having the same idea. Shades of grey. But I think all the same would look good too!

I'm also doing mismatch! Purple! I'll be giving my party color pallets and a picture of a few dresses to choose from. I don't care where they get the dress from. If they thrift store it or New York boutique it. Whatever they can spend.

Well I haven’t actually pulled it off yet but I’m planning on doing a mismatched wedding party. My bridesmaids will be in different shades of turquoise with all different dress styles, and the groomsmen are wearing their own black suits and just buying ties and pocket squares to match the shades of the bridesmaid dresses.
