Menu selection after rsvp

I did mine as a Google Form, that way everything is clear. I find with most site builders, WeddingWire included, there's not enough customization with stuff like that, to make fields required. I thought about coding my own website from scratch, but I didn't have time with all the planning, so I figured Google was the next best thing as I also needed a way for guests to fill in any allergies or special requests, and I didn't see that option. I also like how Google Forms can be exported to a spreadsheet, so I can add table numbers and give that to the venue so they know what food to order.

Weddingwire really needs to fix their wedding website features if they want people using it. Pretty much any other website out there for virtual RSVPs have better UX and functions than the Weddingwire one. It's mind boggling that you can complete a RSVP without selecting a meal option when asked to do so.

You arr correct. Once a guest RSVP's and forget to select meal choice they cannot go back in. I had to personally ask them for their selection privately or for a couple of guests i just reset them to pending so they can go back in and do it themselves. Its a pain.
