Where did everyone get their menswear accessories for their wedding outfit? I'm talking about the shirt, tie, the pocket square, the jewels (cufflinks, tie bar), shoes, etc. Did the gents pick everything up in one spot where they got their suit or did they shop around different places to fully customize their outfit?
I personally shopped around different places rather than getting everything in one spot. Though not everyone will be wearing jewels with their outfit, I feel like most people will wear ties and in Ontario, there's an online store called Aristocrats Bows n Ties that I highly recommend (they ship across Canada too). I bought my groomsmen ties along with a bunch I wanted for other work/event functions. They have bow ties and long neck ties in every colour imaginable. The quality is much better than the menswear rental stuff (the shiny neon colours remind me of prom). And the big plus: self-tying bow ties!!! It's just me but I feel like if a man is to wear a tie of any kind, he should learn how to tie one. There's just something about using a clip on that feels like an adult wearing shoes with velcro lol.
Here are the four ties I bought between myself and the groomsmen. The differences are subtle but I like that we were able to pick something unique.
Here's an example of burgundy ties (a popular wedding colour). I like that groomsmen can add their own personality into the wedding outfit via different shape, shade, or texture. It gives wedding parties a chance to all look coordinated without being carbon copies of each other.
They also have pocket squares but they don't work for tuxedos. If your groom and groomsmen are wearing suits though, they have quite a decent selection that will allow you to coordinate with your tie but not match (never match a tie and pocket square).
