Mens wedding ring for working

Kylie, on October 5, 2016 at 12:34 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 17
Hi hope you are doing well. I was just wantin to get ideas for my fiancé. My fiancé is a landscaper and he would like to wear a wedding ring to work. I would like to find a ring that can be removed in case of emergencies. It doesn't have to last forever. thank you in advance

I haven't actually gotten a ring for him to work in yet but there is one I like it looks like it's copper but it's silicone. As for the engraving no he didn't engrave anything in my engagement ring but it's an old ring and has cool hallmarks so I don't think he wanted to take away from its history.

Hey Kylie! Smiley heart Sorry for only seeing this now! I like the idea of having two different rings, What did you order for his work ring in the end? How does it look like? Smiley smile

I created this discussion for ideas of engraving:

What will be engraved on your wedding rings?

I like the "A perfect fit" one, I think it's clever! Smiley laugh What about your engagement ring? Did he have anything engrave on it?

He actually owns his company and as of yet there are no clues but I'm a worry wort. And he didn't want to damage his good ring so we decided on 2 rings one for working and one for when we go out.
I haven't really thought to much about engraving them yet but I think it would be sweet.

I love these ideas Kylie! Smiley heart You bring up such a great point!

Safety first. It's important that people who work with machinery have nice looking and safe options of rings. Smiley smile

Do his colleagues wear their rings at work too? Does his work have specific rules about wearing jewelry or wedding bands?

Would you have your rings engraved?

They are all great- but I like the third the best, wooden, but tougher than real wood!

I'll have to check those out, we haven't looked at those options.

Maybe send me a picture if you pick one?

Wooden ones are nice! My fiance likes the look of them- but I was trying to talk him out of it....he isn't very "gentle" and I think he would brake about 3 a year.

We were talking to a jewller and he suggested gold or silver they are both soft metals and my fiancee also works with machinery.

Yes gold is one option I was also looking at resin rings and silicone ring. Or possibly a wooden ring.

I think your best bet there would be classic gold. Gold is a soft metal, and can be cut. So many of men's rings currently are carbon fiber and tungsten, which can't be cut easily, and can get gruesome in an emergency (they'll pretty much try once to remove it, then take drastic meansures).

We are looking at this for my FH too, as he works with machinery for work. Talk to a jeweler- this it how we are navigating the issue! If we can't find one that fits the safety bill, he might jsut go ringless at work.
