MC(s)?

Do you have to have different people for your Master if Ceramonies? Or can it be the Maid of Honour and Best Man?

We have a close friend being our MC! He has a great MC voice and will do well keeping things on track

Typically it is someone who is not in your wedding party. But, if you wanted your BM or MOH to do it, there is nothing wrong with that...it's your wedding.

We opted to have our DJ do our MCing because we had too many people to choose from for our bridal party and didn't want to make anyone feel like they were second string.

Our DJ is doing quite a bit of it... and other than that we will probably pick another friend... I want the Bridal Party to be able to focus on the rest of it.

We had a friend be our officiant and MC. We wanted someone who was not one of the wedding party already as they would be pretty busy already. I think you can totally have your MOH and BM as MCs but keep in mind that they will already have a lot to do and will already be giving speeches.

I have attended weddings with the Best Man of Maid of Honour have been the MC and it worked well.

With that said, my FH and I are currently thinking of not having the MOH or Best Man be the MC. They are going to already be doing the speeches, contact person for the vendors if needed, and helping with a million other small things (helping move the gifts, etc). Knowing the universe, the vendor would have an urgent manner as soon as they are going to announce something...lol. It can also serve as an opportunity to have another person involved.

Either way, it's what you want. I might suggest thinking about what you are having on the BM and MOH's plate that day and if it would bump up against MC-ing.

We are having our MOH and BM mc for us. It’s honestly just so much easier to coordinate with them because they know us so well and are great at public speaking

MCs are whom you choose to be up at the podium. MOH and BM can do what you have in mind based on timing and order or specches.

Not having anyone besides the DJ to to all the announcements was the easiest choice to make.
