mc necessary?

Our DJ also did the MC part too for introductions and announcements.

I don't think its necessary, we are having a DJ that can do announcements, and my brother (who is also a groomsmen) will do some MCing as well.

We aren't having one. We are just using our DJ as ours.

It definitely isn't necessary.

Our DJ is helping us out with announcing things but overall its fairly minimal.

Our friend was our officiant and MC. He was able to keep everyone on track for the events of the day and let people know the house rules and also introduced all the speeches.

My FH is having two best men, so we might give them the responsibility or just one since one gets super shy in crowds. Making these guys work!!!

We're just going to have our DJ do it. The reason people have MCs is so that if there is any announcements such as your introduction, speeches etc you are able to have them do that for all your guests to be involved and know what's going on. But it's totally not necessary. If you're not having a DJ you can just have a family member make any possible announcements.

We're having a family member be an MC to make it easier and more personal as she knows us well!
It's nice so she can kind of be an agenda? Make sure people stay on track for speeches and dinner and all that fun!

We are having the DJ be our MC, we feel it will keep things organized if we have someone to MC and make sure we are staying in time with our timeline

View quoted message No problem! They can do as much or as little as you need or want them to I suppose! Our MC will be welcoming guests, announcing us, going over house keeping and need to know info like where the washrooms are located stuff like that and the he’ll just lead the evening of events and maybe toss in a game and a joke or two aha basically keep us on time and things moving without us having to worry about it but pretty basic stuff like you said and a DJ can do it or even your best man/ maid of honour can help with this too.

I think that’s really up to you! Do you have a DJ that can announce things for you instead? Our uncle is our MC but I don’t think it’s necessary at all to have one!
