Matching Attire to Season?

Hank, on July 31, 2021 at 12:21 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 7
Are you matching your wedding attire to the season of your nuptials? Or are you going against the grain so you can have your favorite color or style of clothes regardless of the season?

For example, anyone opting to wear shorter dresses in the winter? Tweed suits in the summer? Dark tones like black, burgundy, and charcoal are usually reserved for winter weddings while summer weddings tend to opt for lighter blush colors. Maybe you're saying screw it and having blush pinks in the winter or dark navy in the summer.
There's also formal rules, like no tuxedos during the day time. It's easier I'm sure many of us are breaking that rule.
Would love to see what people are wearing based on their wedding seasons.

My fiance and I are doing Navy and Gold for our August wedding. We could care less what the "traditional" colors are for the season.

I'm doing Gold Ivory and Black its a June wedding so I guess going against the grain for sure. I don't follow rules anyway. Lol

We're doing blush and silver (with grey and ivory) for a spring wedding. I didn't even think about season when we picked our colors. I've had my wedding colours picked for as long as I can remember 😂 and my Fiancé agreed to them so it worked out well. But I guess blush is a good choice for a spring wedding

I agree with this. We bought our black tuxedos for a winter wedding and we're not switching out just for another season. Sundown likely won't happen until around 8pm so we'll likely be wearing them when the sun is still blazing but whatever lol.

Nice. I say no need to follow tradition is these colours are what you like and speak to your character more.

I'm going to try and incorporate black, burgundy and rust colours and we are getting married in May of 2023. Going to use taupes and other neutrals to keep it from looking all dark but I definitely am not wanting to go with the typical spring colours if that makes sense.

My wedding is September and will technically be fall when we are married. In Ontario we seem to have very warm weather in September. I’m opting for blush, white, cream, and burgundy. I’m having some navy blue accents for dresses and napkins. I’m not really worried about staying with the colours of the season. I say “you do you”
