Makeup cost, highway robbery?

I was finding insane prices out there as well and was getting incredibly frustrated...$50 is actually very inexpensive to what I've seen. I ended up stumbling on a local freelance makeup & hair company that offered me and my wedding party a very reasonable deal for everything, plus a Wedding Wire discount.

Hey ladies! Do any of you know anyone from the Cambridge/Guelph area who is reasonably priced?!?! I am having a hard time finding people who aren't really pricey.

You can try going to Sephora. I believe they do free makeup application with the purchase of $40 worth of product. Shoppers drug mart does something similar, however their hours won't necessarily by wedding convenient and their make up application may not be photo worthy. But if cost is your ultimate goal you might want to give it a try!

Consider contacting aspiring Makeup Artists. Make a Facebook post about it, or even ask someone you know who does makeup well. But that is within the current range of bridal pricing, less than most!

That's really reasonable! I've been getting quotes from $80-$120.

I am paying a 150$ for Myself and My MH. I am not doing a trial. which would be 50$. Set your budget for your makeup and find someone who is willing to work within that budget. I did and it was the best thing I did for our Wedding in July of this year.

I am paying $65 for the day of. I can't remember if it was the same or a bit less for a trial. Most places I had looked into though, this was the average amount.

I think that sounds pretty good. I think mine is 45 or 50 for trial and then 75 for day of.

That's pretty good from my experience. I had one vendor quote me $180 for the day of. Totally unreasonable. And I never wear make up so on my wedding day I'm going bare minimum and natural looking, no way I would pay $180 for that!
