Building on what Genevieve said I would make sure you've talked with your photographer about when you get photos, including sneak peaks. It also helps to have a list of who you want in your photos and a person who knows your families who can wrangle them for the photos to save time.

I forgot to budget for tips, trials, and tax. When I shopped for hair and makeup I initially forgot to double it to book a trial before the wedding. When I found my dress I was excited that I was under budget until I got to the register and realized how fast tax adds up on a big purchase.
I've been told by other brides to take time to enjoy engagement. Have date nights, enjoy the fun of planning, and also take time away from wedding planning. It seems like something easy to forget!

Little details are only sometimes included with your packages. I have definitely learned not to assume that something is included or even available, so always ask about every detail you can think of from linens to sound systems to food and photos.
