I posted in a discussion that we were doing a Love Letter Ceremony a while back. It was received really well, so just posting to let everyone know about this Ceremony option!
We wrote letters to each other and put them in a lock box with wine, to open in 10 years. We display it in our living room to remind us of it. If we have a true rough spot in our marriage, we will open the letters to bring us back to why we married each other in the first place. If there is no need, we open the box on our ten anniversary and celebrate with the bottle of wine!

I thought of doing this for our ceremony. But decided we were going to do it on our own time. And just do a traditional ceremony instead.

Love this idea, my cousin did something similar but to be opened on their 1st year Anniversary. I like the 10 year idea better though. We are definitely adding this on. Thanks for posting this and reminding me of an idea I had loved from a few years ago.

It's a great idea, Bethany, and I love the photo. I think couples should write each other a love letter for every anniversary to keep them on track. Having gone through this before, it's really easy to start taking each other for granted after a while. Through the sheer business of life, the trials and tribulations, the stresses, and the sorrows, your relationship can take a beating. I think the anniversary is a great time to reflect on how you've weathered the storms together.
