So, I want to get some perspective! Sad story but a few weeks ago my engagement ring unexpectedly went missing... So strange because I never take it off and it fits really well. Since then my fiance and I (as well as a friends and family) have searched like crazy, in every spot imaginable, and haven't found it. We're talking cutting couches open, going threw garbage and compost, opening vents and drains, moving furniture and appliances, using a metal detector, going threw dog poop, digging threw chip bags and sour cream in the fridge (we had nachos the night it may have gotten lost), and anything else you can think of. At this point, the only our only explanations to where it could have disappeared to are ones we couldn't look and would never get it back from.
So, I explain all of this to get your opinion! The wedding is now in less than three months (June 5th), and we need to decide whether we buy a new ring before the wedding or wait. I would love to have it for photos and would be so sad to not have it in pictures we will keep our whole lives - however, we also have to make wedding payments, buy all of our furniture, etc. And there is the teeny tiny chance it still shows up. What would you do?? How important to you are the ring photos from your big day? Or how long would you wait before re-buying your ring?
