You can change any of the photographers packages. you can go with a base package and not include all the albums and then do those on your own time. that will cut down costs a lot. i found my photo/video people on weddingwire.

I did research vendors that did video and pictures for $2000. I went with Indians knowing they did help to come to my budget. Kijiji has many to choose from once you talk to them if decided to book then.

Building on what Kelsie said, I wonder if you could find someone in the surrounding areas who would travel in. Spending a few hundred dollars on travel might still save you a few grand!


We're paying a bit extra for ours to travel, but we got a great deal so even with the extra cost we came in on budget.

Photographers and videographers in the Toronto and GTA surrounding area are expensive. When we tried to find a company that did both and had the quality we wanted, our quote was almost $9,000.


In the end we went with an amazing photographer who has lots of experience at our venue and we opted not to do videography at all until my sister suggested one of her college friends was starting their own photography business. We saved a lot on videography which justified us spending more on a photographer.
I suggest going on Facebook and finding new up and coming photographers and videographers there and checking out their work. Experienced vendors I found were very very expensive.
