Looking for ontario outdoor venue

Sara, on April 26, 2019 at 16:22 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 11

Hello all! I'm looking for my dream venue! I don't know if it exists, but I'm looking for a location with:

water (preferably a waterfall)

an outdoor area near the water for the ceremony

AND a covered pavilion or tented area for the reception of under 50 people

I am currently located in Northern Ontario but willing to travel south.

Looking to stay OUT of the GTA.

Public parks rather than resorts preferred as we are on a budget!

Thank you thank you!

I've attended a business meeting there and can confirm that the view was beautiful and the food was great. Not sure about the price though.

The first two that came to my mind were the Ancaster Mill already mentioned and Webster’s Falls in Dundas.

My first thought is our venue which is The Mill Restaurant in Cobourg... its not a public park but the price is super reasonable, they have outdoor patios or you can do a tent reception on the golf course, and theres a waterfall.
My next thought (again not a public park) is Walter's Falls outside of Collingwood. We looked into it when we lived in the area and the price was good.

Rockwood Conservation Area near Guelph might meet your needs. They're a public park so pricing is really reasonable, and there are scenic bluffs and caves. A lot of ceremonies take place in the mill ruins

We are getting married at Balls Falls Conservation Area ... there are two water falls and a beautiful area for an outdoor ceremony. Its Southern Ontario, but a lot of affordable hotels within about 10-15 kms.

I’m not sure if they have an outdoor wedding area but for a waterfall my first thought was the Ancaster Mill in Ancaster.

    its a phenomenal venue!
