Hi Reona, don't worry about the poses. My fiancé and I had no clue of what to do for our engagement photo shoot, but lucky for us our photographer thought about everything. She just suggest us some poses and we tried it and it was excellent. I really love the job that she did.

Engagement Photo

We had our engagement pictures a few weeks ago. I was really not looking forward to it because I am not photogenic at all. But actually it was really fun and our photographer was amazing and made us feel at ease right away. She gave us some direction but we didn't really do any "poses". We just acted natural and I'm sure there were lots of pictures of us just laughing. She sent us just a few as a sneak peak and we were really impressed - by her photography skills and also by ourselves for actually looking normal lol! This one is my favorite so far. I'm excited to see the rest!

Hi! We didn't practice any poses but it is kind of awkward no matter if you practice or not! The photographer might not make you do poses that you necessarily feel comfortable doing! We just laughed the entire time! I have some photos here of my engagement session!

We are doing our pictures this Sunday and we are both sort of dreading it as we don't like to have our pictures taken. We are heading up to Muskoka so we're hoping for some really nice outdoorsy pictures. I'm hoping that the laid back atmosphere will put us both at ease. Or if anything, it's a good dry run for our wedding day pictures.

Oooh how I wish we had a lovely home. Neither of our homes at the moment have very homey feel at the moment.. but I agree. The forest pictures are always nice Thanks for the inspiration

Here are some of my favourites I've always loved the look of photos in a forest. But I also really love the idea of an at home engagement session, just showing us being silly/comfortable in our natural environment

Same with us as well! I think that's why we keep giggling at the thought of us being the focus.. small steps until the big day I guess
I'm into baseball but my fiancee is into basketball so we thought of each wearing blue jays/raptors jerseys. That's how far we got so far. But I do love the idea of actual being at the places. Do they require permits?? My photographer suggested a few places that we can maybe get away taking pictures without permits.. Thanks for your inspiration!

Hey we are doing ours in June as well. We have never dome anything like this before and are quiet people so we decided to visit our fav spots in T.O to make us more at ease like Rogers centre as we love the blue jays and Massey Hall as we love concerts...were hoping memories help us relax and offer great pictures....so maybe a place that makes you two happy can help inspire 😀😀

We just had our engagement session Saturday and we are both shy awkward people. Honestly laughter is a good thing! It truly captures your love and happiness with each other. We were laughing throughout most of the shots and the pictures came out great as you can see the true happiness there. The photographer should have some poses in mind. We did ours outdoors so we had some poses of us sitting on a blanket near the water cuddled closely, another one was of us walking hand in hand, pictures of my hands on his shoulders with a close up of the ring.
If you're looking for good ideas I always turn to Pinterest haha they have tons of great engagement photo inspiration!Just have fun with it and focus on each other. There were people walking around while we were having ours done which made us uncomfortable but I just focused on him and forgot there was anyone else around!
