We ended up going with The Ramada. I love how cosy it is. Lago would have been to echo-y and large since we aren't having a ton of guests. We're just family and close friends. Love the Lago site, which is why it was so hard to choose between them. They both had assests I liked but way different from each other. 😲

We have Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge and absolutely adore it. NEVER wanted a golf club venue but it just blew us away on every level.

We only looked at one venue also, once we walked in we were sold. We just did a second walk through and we were just as in love as the first time we saw it.

Both options are really pretty, I would personally choose the first one the Boho one, just because it is more me! You gotta pick based on you guys.

Ramada docksideRamada viewLittle more boho. We want our tables organized in U shape. Band would be in the nook in the back with a dance floor.

I have a conundrum. We are down to 2 choices for venue and we're having a difficult time deciding. Both of them provide exactly what we want and their food is awesome having eaten at both places.

A little backstory: We're both older and are being handfasted. It is a seriously small wedding, just family and some close friends.

One's closer to our house and very boho and the other is more upscale. The price wasn't an issue, just what do we want. Both are on water. Beside a lake and the other on the river. Gaakkk!

This is seriously elegant. We had the choice of elegant or boho. I say had because we chose boho.

I couldn't book the Shore Club (one of my fave restaurants) at the Westin here in Ottawa so we went with outside and casual.

This is so freaking awesome! You're not from around Ottawa are you? It's has exactly the features I am looking for and there's really nothing like this here.
