I hate toppers, especially the little bride and groom. I'm not really a fan of flowers either and want my cake tiers in dark colors and a marble effect so I'm going nothing on top.

Cake topper! We have ours already. It is a bride, groom and a miniature schnauzer which is the breed of dog we have. He will also be our ring bearer so we thought it was fitting.

I was considering a mix of both. Some faux greenery & white roses to match the bouquets, and the a cursive topper.
I like less colourful flowers on cakes though... something so clean with whites/soft pinks....
I really have taken a turn of not liking the bride/groom toppers... especially the gimicky ones where the grooms got a ball and chain, or trying to escape... I don't find it funny. I have seen humourous ones where couples are gaming together, or fighting zombies... which is more of a personal nod, and much cuter.

Cake topper, the flowers can stay as centre pieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres. As is people are putting flowers in their hair! It's all too much for me.
