I love the designs of fondant but I hate the taste. Much prefer to eat buttercream but I don't know if buttercream will melt if it's a hot day in August. I'm still deciding what I'm gonna do.

Fondant looks a lot nicer in application but tends to not taste as good (unless you buy Duffs brand)

I love the clean look of fondant, and the decorating possibilities... but oh my gawd you can not beat the taste of yum yum yum buttercream. Definitely going with buttercream frosting for us.

Buttercream, hands down. I know fondant is usually edible, but it tastes gross and would be harder to cover up if there are any little mishaps during transportation.
