We're thinking of doing something like that; still undecided. Can I ask a few questions? What did people use to write on it? Did they just sign their name or write best wishes as well? Was there lots of empty space or did people have to crowd their signatures?

We went with the wood slab. My dad didn't like what he brought from his place so he went to home hardware and bought a 2x10 lol. It wasn't exactly what we had hoped for but it worked. We just don't know where to put it now. It's 6 feet long lol.

Lots of great ideas. We're having a hard time deciding as well as we don't want the traditional one either. I have seen benches, I have seen a finger print tree, I have seen those wooden hearts. An engraved picture frame. So many many different ideas as well as a picture of the night sky on the night of your wedding then they sign the outside of it. That was cool. Whatever best suits you.

I bought an old globe and painted it with chalkboard paint and had guests sign the globe! It looks great on display in the house now!

Those are some great suggestions. Thank you. And most of them are totally possible to do in the next 4 days. So thankful for the community here.

My dad is preparing a piece of wood for our "guest log". The photo is an example. The wood is from our property.

Puzzle pieces ( I found one a Walmart that was cheap and cute)

We got a picture frame that has a white matte under under the glass. We are going to put a photo of us in it and remove the glass the day of so everyone can sign around the photo with different colored sharpies

The jenga pieces sound lovely, especially if your FH and you are into playing board games

My fiancee and I both love and play soccer so we are buying three soccer balls and have guests sign them with black sharpie :-)

My bridesmaid painted Jenga blocks red and gold, my wedding colours, and every guest signed one with a piece of advice on one side. I was marrying my fiancé and his daughter, so it was a family theme type of guestbook. Something we can do as a family after the wedding.

We did a fingerprint people guest book. Everyone got really creative!

Or you could have a large vase/fish bowl with paper and pens. Then a sign that says something like “leave us a note with which to remember this day on our first wedding anniversary “.

Some of out friends had large wood cutouts of their initials (both their first and the married last). They were on a table with Sharpies in their wedding colors. Everyone wrote their messages on the letters and those letters are now hung on the wall in their home.
