Love the ideas here, definitely going to incorporate a kids table in my wedding, we have 10 kids coming to our wedding, 7 are part of the wedding Smiley smile, this would be really nice for them!

I think it's a great idea to provide kids with an activity to do! It gives the parents time to relax and keeps the kiddies entertained! We are planning to have a kids table with an older child to watch over them - most of the kids are his brother/cousins and he's really great at watching over them!

We won't be having kids at our wedding other than FH niece and nephew (no close relatives with kids and those friends who do have expressed they would rather had a kid-free date night).

A friend of mine had a combination of a few of your photos & the ideas below and I thought I would share.

She seated each child with their parents as normal but where the adults had their fancy place settings, the kids had a fun name tag, colouring book, crayons and a little loot bag as if they'd gone to a birthday party. This kept them pretty darn entertained and yet with their parents for the dinner. Afterwards she had a "kid korner" with toys and games and had one of the older children (13-14) supervise and gave her a present afterwards as a thank you.

It is a good idea for older children but we kept our niece and nephews (all 5 or younger) at the table with their parents.

A kids table is a good idea to keep them busy with activities.

I had attended one cousin wedding where the kids were on one table and a nanny was hired to be there with them.

I say go with jt if you like the idea!

I think its a good idea to have something for kids... But i think we will just have a play area for them or something instead... Really waiting to hear how many kids we will be having once rsvps come back because we may have up to 20 kids....

Most of the children will be too young to be at a kids table. I think we will just keep the children--even the older ones--with their parents. I do like the idea of having activities for them at the table. Or, someone on here I think suggested a "kids corner" which we might do.

If we were having kids we would probably do this. I think it's a cute idea and it lets the kids be kids and make new friends and allow their families to kind of relax and be able to enjoy the night. You could make the oldest kid kind of like head of the table to keep an eye on there younger ones. I love the Lego idea, can never go wrong with Legos!
