Keeping Warm - Bridesmaid Attire for a Winter Wedding??

Rnaomi, on September 29, 2018 at 14:57 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 10

Hi Everyone!

We are having our wedding in January of next year in the mountains. My bridesmaids all have burgundy dresses and I'll be providing them either jackets, shawls, pashminas, etc. for outside. Does anyone have suggestions of what they did or what would look good with a long burgundy dress? Don't want anyone freezing out there!

Oh ya! I think it will. Champagne is a pretty colour too. So happy it's working out for you

I ordered champagne coloured pashminas to match my dress. It has a slip underneath and then white lace overlay. I think I’ll find something fur of a similar tone. The guys have burgundy ties to match the girls’ dresses. I hope it’ll all look good and match!

Maybe do the pashminas to match the groomsmen suits? Although if they are black that may be too harsh for burgundy. How about grey? I'm having an ivory capelet made for myself since it the same colour as my dress, you should try that as well then it won't be so many different colours Smiley smile

Thank you for the shop information! They have some really nice stuff!!

So I’m thinking pashminas for the girls, and a jacket for me. Just concerned with all the colours now! Hopefully it’s not too much

I would do either a faux fur or a blanket scarf. In either a black or a grey maybe?

Although my wedding isn’t in the winter, I am still looking for a little something to keep myself and my girls cozy. I have found blanket scarves that are burgundy and navy (my wedding colours). The girls will be in burgundy and the scarves are majority navy with a bit of burgundy. Plus it’s something that they can use later!

My grandma left my sister a real fur stole. Its light grey. I'll be wearing it with my ivory dress. A something old and borrowed. Smiley smile

Oh I love those!! I didn’t even think to look on Amazon.
Ill definitely take a look through and see what I can find. What are you wearing? A stole or jacket?

Me too!! I also have my wedding this January, and my girls will be in navy. I was going to buy them faux-fur stoles from Amazon (bridal salons are way too expensive)... I have found them in the $30-40 range... I think this brown would be really nice with burgundy: Faux-Fur Stole.

I completely lucked out, a store in a mall near me was going out of business, and everything in the store was $10 to clear out. I found 3 matching black faux-fur stoles, $10 each!! Personally I think the "fur" stoles are a really warm/elegant look for winter weddings.
