Keeper or Tosser?

Stephanie, on November 26, 2017 at 02:27 Posted in Living together 0 11

Do you like to hold on to stuff, for any reason, or do you throw it away/get rid of it once you aren't using it.

I am a keeper--if I think I might use it, if someone gave it to me, if I have a memory attached to it, if I think I can fix it

FH is a tosser. Once he's done with it, it's gone.

Husband keeps everything of the boat in the house and piles up the space. I'm a tosser or seller to get space needed for furniture and home fix up.

My FH is a keeper. I'm a tosser and I like to purge 2x a year, in case I missed anything during the year. We live in a tiny apartment and don't have a lot of room, so to me, it's very important to get rid of stuff we don't need.

Right?!?! lol. If you're a clothes hoarder, hang your clothes facing one direction on the rack, then flip them around when you wear it. If you don't flip them for 2 months pitch em Smiley winking thats how I began my minimalist ways.

I am definitely a keeper and my FH is the type of person for what is its purpose. Have you used it in the last so many months. We will be fixing up our first house together in the next 4 months and than moving in around April. I have tons of crap to down size in the mean time as we will be starting fresh together NEW almost everything. So that part for me will be hard. I think the memory part is the hardest for me.

Ooh. That's a good idea! Don't tell my fiancé though cuz he will do that to me! Actually, that'd probably be a good way to get rid of my stuff.

I am a harddddcore tosser. FH is a keeper so I’ll hide his stuff for a month and if he doesn’t notice I tell him it’s a sign it needs to go lol.

It depends on the item! Living together in a small space has made me into a tosser due to the fact that we literally have no space. Him on the other hand has a hard time letting go of things lol

Hey Stephanie, is this difference causing problems in your relationship? Are you hoping to get some advice from the community? Have you two recently moved in together?

I'm definitely a keeper and he is more a "use it and get rid of it" type.

I'm definitely a keeper and he's a keeper! Until I get mad at all of the "crap" lying around and chuck a bunch of stuff! But definitely depends on what it is! If it's sentimental- definitely keep for ages!
