We kept this one! Our engagement is over 2 years so I was dying to do something pertaining to our wedding so this was great for that because it was meant to be really early lol

We’re keeping this. Not sure if it’s really necessary but I like the idea of sending them

Not really doing Save the Dates. Where like 98% of the guest list is from out of town, we're doing invitations on more of the destination wedding timeline (more lead time to arrange flights)....We are doing some electronic Save-The-Date E-mails to like our parents and a few core family guests (like 10% of the guests).

Never thought of that. We are also having a longer engagement and have people from across the country coming. It definitely may help them to have something physical with the date in case they lose the email!

We sent out save the dates. We’re having a longer engagement and we have some out of province family who could benefit from them.

We're keeping it since we have a 2 year engagement and I'm sick of telling people when the date is lol. Plus we have some out of towners who could benefit from the extra notice.

We sent out save the dates as soon as we picked ours. We knew it would be a very popular date. June 20, 2020

We skipped then, we will be sending out invitations earlier and I have been spreading the date by word of mouth.

We skipped it. We just sent out invites a little sooner and let people know the date by word of mouth. I didn’t see the point in sending out the same again 2-3 months later.

We skipped this as my fiance did not want to do them, so I called everyone on my side and let them know ahead of time the date of our wedding because it is on a holiday weekend.

We are skipping this. We are going to send our invitations out early, so everyone will have lots of time to book time off, or make travel arrangements, if they need to.

I don't think we need to do it as I feel the invitation is sent far enough in advance

Keep, since we live so far away it'll be a nice little reminder or whatnot for our friends and family. Especially those who are wondering where and when we will be getting married since we do live far.

So far, we're skipping them. So much extra paper for no good reason.

We did it, just sent them out in the mail yesterday! I decided to keep them because we have a lot of out of town guests. I designed and made them myself so they didn't cost very much and it's always a nice reminder to people when they see it hanging on the fridge!

I wouldn't worry about doing them. Unless you have lots of family out of town.

Skip in my opinion just another cost to think about. As long you send out your invites soon enough then your guests will have lots of time to respond. Since most are close family and friends we see them often enough so we mentioned it word of mouth when they asked if we picked a date yet.

I also did a FB group to collect everyone's address for when it comes time send the invitations. I did that as my little "save the date" notice.

We're currently debating on that one. My fiancé wants to do it, I kind of want to skip. We've already asked everyone for addresses for invitations (kind of a good hint that they're being invited haha) and most of them already know the date!

We did them! Mostly because our guests are all from out of town.

Skip. We’re sending the invites out at 4 months from the wedding, but earlier for out of town guests (not too many of them), so we didn’t see it as a necessary expense.

We’re going to keep the save the dates for our more seasoned guests who may or may not be attending.

We just sent save the dates to ensure that family and friends who weren't sure they were invited or not knew that they were.

Skipped. We had a fairly short engagement (6months) and an out of province wedding so we sent out the invites pretty much as soon as we were organized and ready to do so.

We skipped it! I was contemplating it but realized it was an extra expense we didn't want to pay.
