My brother and sister in law did homemade tarts for their wedding... Like mini mini pies haha. Worked out very well and guests could pick a couple flavours to try Smiley smile

That seems like a great idea, comfort food with a homemade touch.

We are having a cake that is included in our wedding package. We plan to cut it prior to dinner, and have it served along side the already planned desert.

Yes, I think we'll do full pies. I like the idea of the individual pies, but I think it will be too much work. I'm also planning on getting my grandmother to bake some cookies and putting them in a basket labelled "Grandma's Cookies." I'm going for a bit of a comfort food thing at my wedding.

We are torn between the two right now but leaning toward making them ourselves with some family and friends. We are going for mini individual pies per guest. Are you thinking of doing full pies?

Skipping. There will be a little cake (and pies, squares, cookies etc.) but no official cake-cutting/cake-feeding hoopla happening.

Keeping it but my FH doesn't like cake so we're cutting a pie, and having cupcakes and pie for our guests - best of both worlds!

We are having a small cake for cutting and picture but there will be more than enough food we thought an extra cake is just too much!

We were thinking about doing that as well. Are you getting the pies from a bakery or asking family and friends to make them?

Skip! Neither of us are big cake fans, and wedding cakes are really expensive. We're looking into other alternatives for cake.

We'll be having a small cake to cut, but we're not making an event of it, just a quick photo op and then back to the action. Most weddings I've been to as an adult, they have cut the cake without anyone even realizing it.
