Jamaica or Costa Rica?

We’ve been going back and forth forever between a couple of resorts/destinations. Any thoughts?

Looking for a fun resort with a lot to do. Expecting around 50-60 people. Will be doing it over New Years next year (will be getting married on December 30th).
- Grand Bahia Principe on Runaway Bay, Jamaica
- Rio Ocho Rios in Ocho Rios, Jamaica
- Riu Guanacaste in Matapalo Beach, Costa Rica

    Hey Sabrina!! Have you gotten the chance to visit any of these resorts personally?

    Have you been in contact with any/all of these locations? how did you find speaking to their wedding coordinator? This could be a major factor as you want to have a good rapport with the people who are helping bring your day to reality.

    Rio Ocho Rios is jamaica is really nice!! theres blue blue water there and very safe for everyone. its also about an hour or so from the airport so its not too bad!

    Jamaica is a beautiful place to enjoy if your wanting to be in the tropics. Ocho Rios has a waterfall you can climb created by a human chain link. That is something all your families and guests can enjoy for a day activity and tourist spots around the city.

    Costa Rica is also nice given they have a lot to offer too for your guests to enjoy the resort life and tourism within the city.

    I don’t know if you have any LGBT guests, but if you do, definitely go Costa Rica.
    Are you going to go off the resort? If so, Costa Rica has so much geographically and visually to offer. If you’re resort bound though, I’d go with whatever is cheaper/better for your resort itinerary.

    That's a tough one!
    My friends just got back from Costa Rica and their only concern was the critters that can kill you.
    One of my coworkers says Jamaica is her favorite vacation spot.
