Hey everyone I just wanted to share my idea for a Jack and Jill. We are planning on doing a sort of fun fair. Basically we will have raffle tickets you can buy and you can either use them for the raffles or use them to play games and try to earn more tickets. I wanted to do something other then just another party especially one asking for money. And since we are doing a child free wedding we are going to have an open invitation to children for the jack and jill.

Yeah I really wanted something where i wasn't just asking for money but actually providing a service people would want to pay for.

That sounds great! This is actually the norm for my group of friends. Alberta doesn't do them, but I grew up in Ontario and most of the stag and does I went to were family-friendly. Lots of games, not a lot of drinking, lots of prizes. Even without all the alcohol. the couple made thousands of dollars just from people playing games (and paying for supper)

Fun fair sounds good for your Jack & Jill. Pie in the face is always a breaker at the end especially done by your wedding party or friends helping out and you too can't be handling that part of the fun portion.

Oh I didnt know that! Its so interesting to see how things are done everywhere. I saw a post on pinterest that had a bunch of really cute wedding themed games that I just though would be a blast! Im a fun loving person (as if everyone doesnt love to have fun ) so I wanted something that would be a little more my style. My FH couldn't really care less what we do. He will just enjoy whatever I happen to plan.

This sounds fun! We don't do Jack & Jill's in BC so I'm always intrigued when you East Coasters talk about them! Haha.
I think doing something a little less traditional (fun fair vs bar night) will actually come as a breath of fresh air to some of your family/friends. It's not the norm, so it's something new/fun to look forward to!
