Jack & Jill - who does what?

Amy, on February 25, 2020 at 20:21 Posted in Before the wedding 0 5
So we have a free venue for our jack and jill, through my fiancé’s boss but I’m a little unsure of the rest. Who typically gets the prizes etc.? Any information would be helpful!

Although it might be a little different for a Jack & Jill compared to a Wedding Social - here is what we did:

Bride & Groom: food, alcohol, DJ, tickets, pretty much everything left needed in the prizes

Wedding Party: donations towards the raffle prizes/ texas mickey and selling tickets

Parents: anything they are willing to help with but are not required to give anything

Mostly everything is done by the Bride and Groom and you have your wedding party help with the actual set up, monitoring of the event, and tear down since they aren't making money on it - you are.

Usually it is fair to asked the bridal party to contribute a prize. They also typically give a lot of their time to helping set up and assisting with games. Selling tickets is sort of an everyone thing (bride and groom plus party and immediate family) Bride and Groom typically take on grand prize but I’ve seen it also be donated or pitched in on by the familes.
