Our ceremony is at 6:30pm. With a cocktail reception at 8:15pm. We had to have a later ceremony because of where we are getting married.

Hi Erin,
we are doing a few things. Essentially our timeline is going to look something like this:
****: getting ready photos, first look, wedding party and parent photos. 1700: head to venue, have a small dinner with wedding party and parents (plan on buying panchos for everyone so they don’t spill on their dress clothes pre ceremony, but we will need to eat something before hand) ****: touch up hair and makeup, brush teeth, reapply lipstick 1830: guests begin to arrive 1900: guys waiting at the altar processional begins ****: cocktail hour while the room changes from ceremony to formal sit down tables / a few trays of appetizers are circulated (were still doing tables for everyone as we have a lot of older guests and I don’t want anyone feeling uncomfortable during speeches) 2000- everyone returns to the room/ we enter right into our first dance (as our photographer can only stay until 9pm we want to get those photographs in) ****: speeches ****: fiancées dance with his mother (my father passed away so I don’t plan on doing a dance with anyone, I don’t want to draw attention to that fact on the big day and make people sad) 2100: party begins / stationary appetizers come out (veggies, fruit, sliders, pasteries, spring rolls, fancy pizzas etc) ****: party
We are also having a 7pm ceremony with cocktail reception to follow, are you doing any "traditional" things, like first dance, or parent dance or anything like that, and if so how are you scheduling it?
mmmm Tacos!! we are serving a selection of hot and cold appetizers like sliders, veggies, cheeses, antipasto, random dessert squares, spinach and feta triangles, thinking about adding a quesadilla bar

Non-traditional couple over here! We are having a 7pm winter ceremony decided by us. Not into the whole sit down meal and typical structured wedding. This suits us way more. PLUS dim lights and candles makes everything so pretty!

I am soooo jealous! I've always wanted a brunch wedding, we came so close to booking one but all the venues around our area only allowed for 80 people or less to attend which just was not do-able for us. Please post photos! Also - MIMOSA BAR *heart eyes*
Our ceremony will be around 3:30pm and reception starting around 6:30pm. This gives us a couple of hours to get photos done.

Our ceremony is at 12:30, with the reception starting at 5:30. Guests will have a nice break in between so we can keep the party going later in the evening!!
What kind of food are you having for your guests? If you don't mind me asking. It's always good to get fresh ideas. I'm doing a taco bar with some other appetizers and horses d'eurves.
Our ceremony will be at 2 pm and the reception will start at 5:30 pm. It's all at the same venue, so hors d'oeuvres will be served and the bar will open while we take pictures in the garden after the ceremony.
Our ceremony starts at 10.30 / 10.45 am Didn't really realize how early we had to get up for hair and make up with that.. But it's good for the people that come over from Europe and might have jetlag. If the majority of our guests is jetlagged it wouldn't really make sense to have our venue till deep in the night, when they all wanna sleep around 8 / 9 o'clock
Our ceremony will be at 5:30. We chose the time because our ceremony and reception are at the same venue and we have 8 hours total with the venue so if we allow guests in at 5 and start the ceremony at 5:30 then we can keep the party going until 1.

Ceremony has a 4:30pm start time, which was set by our venue and was totally fine with us!
We had a choice of two ceremony times set by the venue: 1:30pm and 3pm. We went with 3pm since I didn't want to get up at 6am to start hair and makeup, I'm sure the stylists and wedding party will appreciate this too!
As of now, we have our cocktail hour starting at 5:30pm and dinner at 6:30pm. We have to wrap the reception up at 1am but we have some leeway with start times. Our room rental is from 2pm-1am (a few hours for set up). So as long as the room is set up, we can have guests in there anytime!
Our venue says between 2 & 3 which works out good. I will have lots of time to get ready for the wedding, and by the time we are finished our ceremony, the light will be a lot less harsh for pictures. I wanted to have my pictures done just before and during golden hour so I won't be squinting in all my pictures. We have a 1 hour cocktail hour and then reception starts a 5 pm.
We are having the ceremony at 1pm! and supper will begin at 5:30 I wanted to get married earlier in the afternoon so I could wear my dress longer and not have a crunched timeline.
I am having an evening wedding at 7pm. Doing our pictures before hand so we can get a few snaps after the ceremony with family. Then PARTY time, I want to dance the night away with my group. My venue is actually not charging me for the ceremony because they don't have to bring in any extra staff
Our venues are completely dictating our times. For our ceremony, the earliest we can do it is 4pm (which works out), and our reception is ready to begin at 5pm (but we're starting it at 5:30).
Our ceremony starts at 3:30 pm. We decided on this; we wanted a later afternoon ceremony so A) we could do our pictures beforehand and B) our guests could head right over to our reception afterwards for cocktail hour (while we do family pictures at the church).
