I love this!! It is gorgeous! I also picked out my ring, we went shopping together and I picked my top 2 and he chose from there.

New! He was terrified to get me something I wouldn’t like and we knew we wanted to get married so I picked it out about 6 months before he proposed. It’s absolutely perfect. Rose gold, amethyst center stone surrounded by moisonite stones and the tiny stones on the side are diamonds.

My ring is new FH designed it, and I love it!

Mine is new and we literally just picked it up yesterday!
We don't really have any family heirlooms. I could have taken my mom's, but my parents divorced and call me superstitious, but I kinda think it's a bit of bad luck if I wear hers.
Plus, my engagement ring is a bit of an odd shape, so I needed something with some curve to it to really fit.

Mine is new! I didn't want real diamonds and I love rose gold. He found this one and it's so perfect!

Mine is a family heirloom...it was his Grandmothers. She gave it to him when he was younger.

It is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy with it. I do know that I will one day have to hand it down to my own Grandson and that will be pretty special.

Mine is new, custom designed by the fiance. Neither of our mothers or ANY of our grandmothers had engagement rings, which is a funny coincidence, so we kind of had no choice.

About two years before we were engaged, I completed a painting that I felt was inspired by our relationship. When my fiancé proposed he chose this ring because it reminded him of my painting. Full circle.

Mine was given to me from my mom when I was 5. I've been waiting for the day I can wear it myself 💍😍

All new!!! I think the sentiment is cute but I'm the same with rings as I am dresses.... that was a commitment of love between 2 other people. Family or not I want something new to celebrate our love.

New! I picked out my ring (diamond and setting) and honestly am so glad I got to. I really love my ring and it's tasteful and simple enough to become and family heirloom one day.

My e-ring was my grandmother's ring - although not her engagement ring, it was just one she saw and loved. I was lucky to find a wedding band that matched it fairly closely

New. None of our families really have any heirloom rings... Although my maternal grandma passed away a few months before we got engaged, my mom was mentioning how my FH could have one of her loose diamonds to use... but it was chipped, and he already bought a ring before she talked to him.

I do have 2 wedding bands (both grandmas), and I will have both of them looped on my bracelet during the ceremony. My paternal grandma passed away before any of her 8 grandkids got married. I got her wedding band, so I've made sure everyone has it on them when they get married (I'll be #4). Same goes for my other grandma too, but I'm the first of her 4 grandkids, so I'll be starting the tradition for us.

Brand new! I like the idea of it becoming a family heirloom, as it has a vintage vibe being a pear double-halo.
