Is it too early for wedding favours?

Msss, on August 30, 2019 at 20:51 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 8

Hello everyone,

My fiancé and I are getting married next August and were wondering if it too early to purchase wedding favours? We have a few in mind but I am wondering if it is too early. Our max. guest count is 150. Is it usual to purchase a few extra (just incase) or have a few extra because you over-purchased by 10-20ish?

Kind regards,

Valentina

It depends what is is- I wouldn't recommend if food like even if sealed I would wait closer too, but if its something you want and on sale then 100% go for it

I bought my favours last month because they went on sale and that was before I got my RSVP's - only buy as many as you would need at max. So our venue hold UP TO 250 (including us and vendors) so we bought 250 blankets. No reason to get more than that.

I think Rayanne hit it on the head. If it's not an edible, I agree it's never too early to start! The more time you give yourself, the more time you have to wait for any special savings (if applicable). Even if you have something edible, like a few Hersey Kisses in a bag, you could still look for the non-edible parts like the bags or a tag.

Definitely order a few extra! It's better and less stressful to have the safety net. My fiance and I are looking at doing chocolate bars from NFLD Chocolate Factory, but we realize there is always a chance one or two might break in transit. If not, snacks for the honeymoon and day after! Lol

As long as you know what you want and it isn't eatable I'd say go for it. I'm taking my time with everything and waiting for sales. So far I've saved a lots of money by waiting....

Might be too early in my opinion as you might change your mind if you see a better/more practical options Smiley smile

Depending on what you are looking at I don’t think it’s too early.
Just make sure that these are the favours you are going to for sure want. I changed my mind so many times and didn’t settle on a favour until a month ago!
Go through your guest list and see how many people you have and then order that many. I wouldn’t order more than that because there is going to be some people who won’t be able to make it and then you will have way more favours!

Its never late to get favours this early in the process. The thought behind your gift needs the time of recieving or ready weeks before the wedding itself.

Favours depend on the choices your going to give and how many you need. Edibles per person so they can eat at the venue or take home.

Packages of seeds or small plants would be to give per couple, singles and family to cut costs.

Usable gifts based on quantity and budget can be looked into. Asking for discounts may help to bring down the price on a minimum order. The extras are great to have in case you need them.
