Pros are def cheaper and youll have your choice in vendors.. cons i dont think a lot of people will come. they have to book off work, take kids out of school, travel, find babysitters, get hotels and then on top of all that go back to work the following day so that means they will leave early. kids may also have a test in school they cant miss or extra circular activities etc. that cant be missed

    Pros: cheaper, more vendors available

cons: family and friends more likely to be working and not able to make it. if people do come they may not be able to stay late if they have to work the next day if you are wanting a big party type reception.

Monday is a great day since the price is inexpensive as to the Saturday wedding. The pros to this day are: Availability open to you Guests staying the weekend coming from far and long drives, locals coming the day of your wedding. Pictures done at any time chosen without interruptions of other guests beyond yours present. Cons: Its the first day of the week and most people don't get it off if they have engagements or tentative bookings/meetings. Traffic for locals may become an issue of getting to your ceremony a bit late, yet still be present or not show up at all. Health issues can come up and not be notified. Clients for some of your guests may suddenly take the time away from your wedding due to their professional work.

Its definitely cheaper to get married on a weekday, plus, like everyone else had mentioned, the vendors are typically not booked those days, so you can most likely book with your first choice.

The only con to getting married on a weekday is the availability of your guests, especially if they are from out of town because they would have to take two days off or leave right after your ceremony.

I think Amelia & Valentina covered most of the pros and cons.

We are getting married on our anniversary, which is a Thursday. I would say it is virtually stress free because we have ALL the choices/availability of things. The con is because it's a weekday people have to take time off work to attend your wedding and if you are doing a reception/dance (we aren't) people probably wont stay as long because they have to work the next day (that's a pro because you would need a dj/hall for less time potentially, but a con if you want to party all night)..
Do what's right for you Smiley smile

    It's definitely possible.
Pros: cheaper rentals, more venues to choose from (as Saturdays book up fast), cheaper travel and accommodation for guests, less stress as you'll have the whole weekend to prepare, you can pick your future anniversary based on the date not the weekend, photography locations might be less crowded (definitely no other weddings in your way!)
Cons: guests need to take time off work, some vendors may give staff Mondays off to recover from busy weekends and be harder to hire, less traditional days mean people might mistake the date (so just be clear and put Monday, February 24 instead of February 24)
I'm getting married on a Friday and it's been really easy. Our photographer had no issue, our baker was excited when I said it wasn't on a Saturday, we had our pick of several venues. We almost picked a Wednesday which was our dating anniversary but I didn't think I could pull off all the planning in such short time.

Personally, I'm not sure but I would think the venue(s) you are interested in would be able to let you know if they do host events on Mondays. Some possible cons may include guest availability or their ability to stay late if they have to work the next day (that's what we were told by some of our friends and family when we had to switch our wedding from a Saturday to a Sunday).
