Is airbrushing worth it?

Emily, on June 27, 2021 at 12:49 Posted in Beauty 0 5

Does anyone have experience with doing airbrush makeup vs. regular? I can't decide if the airbrushing is worth it since I still want a very natural look. But I am considering it since I read that it will hold up better when you get sweaty and I tend to be a very warm person and my face definitely sweats a fair bit... Thanks!!

Is airbrushing worth it? 1This was a bad makeup job in general but this was a makeup trial I had with airbrush. I found it super uneven and it just fell right off my face.. This my face without touching it yet

That's a super good point about scratching your face because I'm definitely someone who tends to touch their face so I might end up touching it and if I can't re-blend that could be a problem. Thanks for the advice Smiley smile

I replied to a post recently asking which we were going for so I'll reply similarly: I did regular makeup for my wedding and it was perfect - flawless, natural look I wanted and lasted ALL day. I've had airbrushed makeup for weddings I've been in and I find (personally) it looks more unnatural, in photos specifically. It's definitely great when it's hot and you're sweating because you definitely don't have to worry about it coming off (my biggest issue too) and it has more coverage without feeling overly heavy, but if you scratch your face or anything, it leaves a weird smear and you can't reblend... There are pros and cons for both - I'd suggest a trial and deciding from there if you can.

Awesome thank you!! My biggest concern was definitely that it was going to look unnatural and feel very heavy on my face

I was very skeptical about it since I'm not a makeup person at all besides lipstick and mascara lol. The main issue I had was I didn't want to feel like I was wearing layers of makeup and wanted to look natural and be able to recognize myself. But I was pleasantly surprised when I went for my trial and kept an eye on it the rest of the day, and it was flawless throughout, so I decided to go with it on the day of.
