Invites, Rsvp's, place Cards oh my

Julie, on July 14, 2022 at 05:30 Posted in Plan a wedding 1 14
Wow...how many options! I Am simply overwhelmed on the variety of wedding invite styles out there. Only to find the perfect one but some dont have matching RSVP, Detail and/or place setting matches. I would have had this done but FH wanted to be a part of it 🙄
Of the two we decided on, both dont offer all the same inserts. Suggestions?? Easier to get a download template?? First pic is my preferred choice.

As a designer, my biggest advice is to buy a template from Etsy and have them printed as postcards with a nice finish NOT invitations. The markups on invitations is ridiculously high when it’s essentially the same thing as a postcard print. If you compare on Vistaprint, for example, you’ll see it’s a pretty big difference Smiley smile It’s a great way to save money! And always spring for soft touch, where you can - It’s a cost-effective way to add a touch of luxury and people love it.

I’m all about things coordinating and not necessarily matching exactly.
We chose an invitation we liked and then I designed all of the other pieces to coordinate with a consistent colour and the same fonts throughout.

As long as you can find fonts close to what was used on the shutterfly invite then you can make coordinating pieces. My only tip would be to not use more than 3 fonts Smiley smile

    Hi there,

I highly recommend buying a template online from Etsy or another website. This will make planning for any prints for the wedding much easier. Then the styling and theme can be similar no matter the use (Save the Dates-Formal Invitations-RSVPs-Inserts like Directions to Accommodations and Venue/Details/Accommodations cards, Table Escort Cards, Tent Cards, Programs, Menus, Wedding Party Timelines). It makes it flexible for planning as you can work on it and order piece by piece when it works for you as much as it allows for your creativity. And EDIT it to your heart’s desire. I printed my Save the Dates and Invitations etc. at Staples. Also, two things to consider before you choose invitations and such. 1) Decide on a colour palette of 3 to 5 colours (neutral, metallic, splash of colour, complimentary colour). This will quickly narrow your options. 2) Set a budget goal of how much money you are willing to spend, this will even whittle down options more.
I hope you find exactly what you and your FH are looking for!

We are going with simple yet elegant black font on a white background, we haven’t decided if we want a border or not Invites, Rsvp's, place Cards oh my 6

We are using Zazzle to order our invites and STDs- they have sales up to 50% off. Your style is very similar to ours and they have sooo many similar styles to choose from

I went with an inside joke between the FH and I. Fireflies so I was able to find an invitation that incorporates with them in it. Everything else I matched with what our venue looks like and the season.

Wedding stuff is so overwhelming so many options to choose from. How to pick?

The invites are nice. The full set your set on can work unless you do find matching cards to go with the other styles.
