Invites and Save the Dates to vendors?

We had plated service and it was fantastic (part of the package). Its true you don't need to send your vendors other than the baker who will create the cake design with your colours unless its different from what your vision.

Did anyone have a plated meal? Did you just send out an email or speak to them? I was going to send invites to Photographer, wedding planner, DJ but MOH mentioned I shouldn't have to....

I did but as said already it’s not necessary . The only reason why I gave one to the DJ was because he was being invited regardless and it made me feel better that they had one .. No excuses as for my officiant they were a family friend ...

Nope. I will have one of our invitation sets for my photographer on the day so she can photograph it, and then I'll let her keep it if she wants.

They are your vendors and have already kept your date and will cater to you on your day. The only vendor I gave the card to was my baker for the colours to match based on the fact the thank you cards were the same design.

Nope. They should know when the wedding is in the contracts lol.

I’m not. The date is in our contracts with all of our vendors.

I did not send either to any of my vendors, but I did make sure to bring a card copy of my invitation for my photographer to use to the "little details photos"

I didn't send save-the-dates to my vendors; however, I may send an invitation to them, along with an R.S.V.P. so that I know their meal preference(s).

I skipped this, this isn't necessary since they'll get the info directly from you and they'll be there working rather than as guests

I'm not since they know the date and that they need to be there. The only one who is getting an invite/save the date is my hairstylist, whose also a close family friend who will be going to the ceremony/reception as a guest.

All vendors will get a thank you card after all is said and done.

This! No to the save the dates/invites (heck we're paying them a lot of money to be there... not a free invite! haha!)

But we will likely include them on the Thank You list!

I won't be either. The contract is good enough! However - I may send the thank you cards with a pic of me and the then Hubby after the wedding thanking them for what they provided to make my day the best one ever!

I am not. They know the date. They know they need to be there. They dont need a save the date or an invite. Maybe it's polite to send them one anyway, but I dont think its necessary.
