Invite apps for pre-paying meals

Dallas, on December 28, 2020 at 18:54 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6

This is a very unusual question. I am getting married June 2022 and we are making our guests pay for their own meals (different I know). I am wondering if there is a way for the rsvp to be linked to an account wear they have to pay before their rsvp gets finalized? Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to do this? Or is there a good way of keeping track, minus looking at my account or keeping a list?

Thanks in advance

Thank you for your input. The meal is a buffet style, with various options to choose from. Makes it easier I find. And because people are paying for their meals we are really going to emphasize no gifts. But I cant atop them if thats what they decide for sure.

Your concept of paying your meal is how Egyptians do their wedding as guests have to pay their meals too. You're giving them a choice to give more on top of the gift in a way. The invitation should have a separate card to indicate the meal choices and E-transfer payment and email address to know what meal choices they choose. You can put ceremony and Reception to attend so they have those options too.

The meals were included in the trip/wedding. We had to pay for the package for sure, but that was a small fee. Its a different way of doing things, but those who want to be there will be there and I cant please everyone I suppose.

Were you not going to pay for the meals had your original Mexico trip worked out?

Thank you for your input/ideas 😊. Well everyone was fine with paying $1800 to go to Mexico, so I'm sure they will all be fine with 55$ for their meals lol. But regardless the ceremony option is a good idea. 😊

You can make an Eventbrite or use any type of ticketing app/platform. Make the "event" your wedding and each "ticket option" could be the meal choice. When everyone RSVPs, you can download an excel sheet with all the guest info.

If you're doing this, I recommend putting an option for guests to choose "Ceremony only."
