Invitations for the Wedding Party?

Sara, on May 4, 2018 at 15:04 Posted in Before the wedding 0 29

This might be a silly question, but are you guys giving actual invitations to your wedding party? Or is it just assumed that because they're part of the wedding party, they're obviously invited with their plus one?

I think it's a nice touch to give them one too. They'll want to see them anyway, but it will also help them to know all the details for the wedding day.

I gave them invitations so that they have a memory of it. I assumed they are coming and punched in coming.. but this way it still includes them and they can keep it.

Absolutely, they may be in the wedding party but they still need an invitation. Plus it helps keep everything organized.

We gave our wedding parties invites, partly for fun. But it's also good to have the physical reminder stuck to the fridge.

My kids are adults now. Eldest daughter is 31, my son is 30 and my baby girl is 28. But they will love getting their own invitation. 😊

We sent everyone attending or participating in our wedding an invitation. It is nice and a physical reminder of an event. It also gave them all the info they needed regarding the wedding.

It is obvious that they are invited and get a plus one but we still gave them physical invitations and put all the same inserts in with them Smiley smile

You definitely give invites to your wedding party. In my head its bad manners not to.

Actually I hadn’t thought of that. I do need to tell some of them that they do not have plus ones.
    Thanks!

I’ll be definitely sending them to our bridal party even though the bridal party consists of our kids. I think they’d like to have one.

I gave invitations to my wedding party! And, I'm requesting that they RSVP! We are doing online RSVP's and so it keeps track of how many people are coming, which is why they need to reply so I can count them for food.

We definitely are, with the exception of my siblings that are all under 16 right now. I want everyone to have a copy because it’s exciting. I’m even sending an invitation to my grandfather in England, even though he had a heart attack and there’s no way he’s healthy enough to come.

We did as the invites we chose from Vista Print had a small schedule on it. So that way the wedding party and their plus ones have an idea how the day is going to go. As their plus ones may not know everyone or anybody in the wedding, so if they wanted to sneak off and maybe go home or somewhere else for the time being they have an idea when they should be back for.

Giving actual invitations even to those who know they're invited already. I'm doing it because of the sentimental value and I want to show off my graphic design skills. Smiley laugh And I literally have 11 invitations to physically give. 2 are by email.

We gave invitations to our bridal party...and our "plus one" rule applies to them too- it's only for those in serious relationships!

The wedding I was in I didn’t receive one. But I will be sending them to our wedding party only because they would like one. You could always just ask if they would like a printed invitation. If not you can just send an email with a link to the website and a quick message about how excited you are to have them be a part of your wedding day.

Yes, you send them one. They are still guests, even though you already know they are coming. They then have the info, and reference, as they are supposed to be able to answer questions from other guests regarding the wedding.

Also it's a keepsake. Just like you keep one for yourself, and your mom still gets one. Haha.

I will be sending them an invite and have always received one when I was a BM. Are you offering meal choices on the RSVP card? If so, they will need one of these so sending the whole invite is probably easiest.
