Took all weekend but we finaly finished them. It was a fun DIY, but I way underestimated how much time it would take to print and cut all 100.

We got them assembled and ready for RSVP cards and envelopesAssembledNow all we need to do is address the envelopes. So glad to be able to tick this off the to do list. It was more work than expected but worth it. In the end we spent $60 and have enough left over to do the menus, programs and thank you cards (including envelopes).

    Not a ton of money... The invitations would cost $180 to order... The kits cost us $30 for both and the extra cardstock and twine cost $27... We had to buy a new printer (ours broke last year) and scoring board $100... And my cutter crapped out and there were no refills in town so a new cutter $20 (like it better than my old one) ... With the extras it was still about $10 cheaper to make our own and there is enough left over to make thank you card and programs... I you do decide to make your own give yourself plenty of time... Order ink on Amazon... Envelopes cost way more than they should.

    The belly band is just twine wrapped loosely a few times around the invitation... We liked how it looked with the handmade paper... We were going to finish it off with a pearl in the center but when I checked with the post office the pearl upped the postage... Too bad the pearl really finished it off.

    Thank you... I bought a couple of kits from Party City but didn't like their card stock so I bought cardstock from Wal-Mart... I found the border online and scaled it to the size we wanted... We made up our own templates using Word... The invitation are a regular 8.5x11 page divided in half using the column command and the reception cards were created using the mailing tab (4 envelopes on a 8.5x11)... The RSVP came from the kit and was a 5x8 page.... The map by far took the longest since neither of us use photoshop.
