Invitation wording

Tiffany, on April 18, 2017 at 12:17 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions - I am also going to ask the lady doing my invites for her opinion as well.

we are hosting our own wedding - we were thinking of using : together with our families BUT, my fiance's father passed away a few years ago - is it weird to use that wording.. or should we use something else?

I don't know if this matters - but his parents were divorced before his passing.

Thanks

We are hosting our own wedding and used "the honour of your presence is requested at the marriage of..." we didn't speak of families at all, but that is our style. If you want to include family in your invite then I agree with these comments, the wording is fine.

We are using the same wording since my paretns are fivorced and only one ir remarried plus my fiances parents are helping us with the day as well so it really is together with all 5 of them Smiley smile

i think its a nice way to include the families regardless of the situation

I think that wording is good. You are saying families which is more inclusive of everybody instead of saying "with our parents". I think that wording is really nice.
