There isn't anything with having as many BMs in your wedding party. Its your day and you do as you wish as they say. The dress can be ordered given the time is still there.

I wouldn't worry about dress timelines if that's your only worry about making this fifth friend a bridesmaid. Most sites like Azazie have no delays right now. Even if you were getting them in a brick and mortar store, with a year out I think it'll be fine.

Oh ok I understand. I think it's totally fine to ask her. You can let her know that you have really appreciated her friendship over the last year or so and you'd love for her to be a part of your wedding as a bridesmaid.

Since your wedding isn't until next year I think you'll have more than enough time to order a dress for her. You can probably get her to measure herself at home and place an order and by the time the dress comes in closer to the wedding date have it altered.

It is complicated. I was supposed to be married last year September. I have planned out already who was in my bridal party already. During the time of my planning for my wedding back in 2019 she wasn't really a friend to me then, we've becoming better friends and she became more involved and is helping with wedding by setting up the venue and giving me advice for my wedding. I am thinking of asking her but I feel it might be too late since all the girls have their dresses.. due to covid restrictions not sure on how to get her a dress and fitted on time. Hopefully next year I can actually have this wedding.

Is there any reason they can’t just be a fifth bridesmaid? Uneven wedding parties are fairly common and if they’re already uneven I don’t think adding one extra is going to make a huge difference.
