Ideas of venues for small intimate wedding

Kaitlyn-Anne, on August 11, 2018 at 21:37 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6
So we are starting to discuss a guest list and thoroughly came up with 30-31 people. It's mostly grandparents, parents, close cousins, and friends.

Has anyone else done a small wedding of this nature? I want to have an outdoor ceremony in the fall for all the beautiful colours. Incorporate Fall decor in both ceremony and reception. Honestly I would hold it in the large park across from my house but I think we need a permit.

Cheers 😊

Sometimes you need a permit, but I think they are pretty easy to get actually... and I think they are pretty inexpensive (like it should be the same price to get one for a kid's bday as a wedding).

It then allows you to bring in rental items, set up, and it kind of gives you the right to shoo people away haha.

I think an intimate ceremony & wedding is wonderful when you can do it. My family is too big.

I would check with your city about the permit as it may be relatively inexpensive.

I would suggest a restaurant or something like that for a smaller more intimate wedding.

We are having our intimate wedding at a restaurant. We have rented their private room. We are expecting 35 people.

If you are wondering about a permit - talk to your city hall

My fiancé and I are aiming for 50 people. Our guest list currently has just that; however, there are multiple people who are likely not going to be able to attend.

I agree with Megis; small restaurants would work well, especially ones with a spacious outdoor area as they may allow you to hold your ceremony on the premises. My fiancé and I were able to find a golf course that offers multiple sized reception areas, one of which is perfect for our wedding's size. Our ceremony will be held outdoors in front of a chapel-like gazebo, which is also on the premises as one of the golf course's designated ceremony areas.

Thanks for the reply megis. That's what I was thinking this morning. I live in a smaller town with some nice independent restaurants in the area. I would love to have the ceremony in the park across from m6 house. There's a river and many trees. Perfect for my fall vision.

I had a small wedding. Originally we imvitrd 35 guest. 21 were able to make it.

Small restaurants are a good place to look for a venue or reception. Otherwise ask around with friends and family who either have a nice backyard or a big space in their house.

    We hosted in our home.
