My fiancé wouldn't go for either as he prefers plain, solid gold bands. But of the two options, I'd say he'd prefer B.

I would choose B for him because of his type of work. I would be scared of band A scratching or the diamond chips falling out over time.

I think my fiancé would like B, if these were the only choices. All rings become "outdated" over time except the plain gold band. That's what I have for him.
