I never thought I would rely so much on my parents while wedding planning. I usually do everything by myself and refuse help. They've been amazing and they've kept me on track.

Also, wine 🤣

Hmmm nothing I can think of. I knew exactly what I was getting into when I started planning my wedding lol.

Honestly, nothing. It's been going pretty much exactly how I expected it to.

I never thought I would rely so much on:

1. Coast's Best of Weddings - Local, independent paper that does a province focused vote for the best NS vendors voted for by brides and grooms with their families

AND

1. My arts and crafts skills - graphic art/GIMP skills, embroidery, sewing, wood burning, papercrafts....lol

I never thought I'd rely on so many websites and articles to plan my wedding.

I never thought that I would rely so much on buy and sell group for used decore, but also for ideas. But also wedding wire for ideas and for support. Great safe place to vent!!! So supportive!!!

Whiskey and wedding wire. This website and forum have helped me stay so organized. Also my mom and MOH have helped immensly with keeping my sanity.

I never thought I would rely so much on my younger sister. she's 11... but helped me with everything and had so many good ideas. shes a mini me haha!

I actually wasn't a big wine person before planning, but a nice white takes the edge off!

Also DIY, I didn't think I would end up doing so much of it (especially invites and other stationary!) Thankful for having Illustrator on my work computer lol

Others opinions. I’m usually pretty good about making decisions and sticking with them. But during planning I felt like I needed validation that it was a good idea!

I never thought i would rely so much on my mother while planning. From helping to calm me down when I'm stressed to reminding me to mine and FH's opinion is the most important to spearheading the planning of our Jack and Jill she has done so much to help.

I never thought I would rely so heavily on my mothers opinion. We are really close so I always go to her for advice but with my wedding, I am taking her advice for everything! She has been to way more weddings then I have and I just trust her opinion and judgement!

I am a super organized person, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't forgetting anything. I felt like my lists had lists!

Wedding Wire? Nah, I knew I would be on here all the time the moment I saw that there was a point system because I am so competitive and just HAD to climb my way to #1 (I did... but now I have to make sure that I keep my rank!)

I never thought I'd rely on myself so much I guess. I did want control of planning my wedding but no one else has really helped me unless I've directly asked.

I never thought I would rely so much on kijiji! It was where I found my photographer, officiant, limo, and florist.

I even sold some items (like jewelry I dont wear anymore) on kijiji to offset the cost of some of my splurges (ie. the limo).
