I can't decide if I want a veil

Kaisha, on February 22, 2019 at 20:39 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 13

I am still not sold on a veil, at first I thought I wanted one but the more I think about it the more I am not sold. I just cant decide for sure. If I don't have one what accessories do I need, a necklace? ps I can't wear earrings so they aren't an option.

I think you could do a small necklace, but I do think that you should wear your hair up so as to showcase the back of your dress. A headband or hair clip would look nice too.

I have never been a huge fan of the birdcage veils. I don't like having things in my face.

I am more worried that the dress has such a beautiful back I don't want to hide it more then I have to. I will be wearing my hair down so it will already be somewhat hidden.

I love these both, a headband sounds like a definite possibility

I like a veil personally, but I won't be wearing it the entire day. As soon as we leave the church, it's coming off. I'd go with your initial instinct, though - don't overthink it Smiley smile it's so easy to get stressed out little details when it comes to wedding planning.

I recommend a headband! I will be having both a headband and a veil but I don't plan on wearing my veil the entire night as it is a cathedral length! Here's my headband:

I would say for you to just make sure it matches your lace dress with something like this:

Remember that you won't be wearing it all day! You can do veil for reception- and part of photos. Take it off for rest of photos. Leave it off for reception.

I agree with the other girls though- there is so much lace that you don't need a lacy veil. Could do a more simple one so it doesn't compete with your dress.

I am team veil though- when in your life will you wear one again?

I agree with Stephanie and maybe wearing a raw-edged veil so it doesn't take away from the lace detailing of your dress.

Also a headpiece/necklace would look great too!

I think a nice hair piece might be nice, maybe like a headband or a one of those small comb in pieces. If you don’t want to put anything in your hair or on your head, a necklace might be a nice option too.

What about a birdcage veil? Something to just be a headpiece and not take away any detail from the dress? If you did decide on a veil I wouldnt do one with a lace edge, i would do a plain veil with a raw edge to accent the dress and not add anything more to it!

How about a flower in your hair?

I'm with you 100% on this.

I cried my eyes out when dress consultants would throw a veil on me, but when I look at those pictures, I think it's just too much.

Depending on how you'll be wearing your hair, you could add a hair comb, halo, headband, vine, headpiece (large hair comb!!)...the possibilities are endless!

Here's a Canadian store on Etsy that specializes in Bridal accessories : Luna And Stone Co

I like their store because you can match most of their accessories together!
