Hey lovely ladies Smiley heart

Natasha brought up a really interesting point last week when she started her discussion on Transportation.

It's important to make sure that your guests make it home safe after your wedding! Smiley heart

Our venue in-between a holiday and a stay bridge suites. So if there is anyone staggers in either direction they will end up in the lobby of a hotel. Lol But I hope no one drinks that much! Lol

A lot of our guests has cars and will drive home since parking is free at the venue. If they are drunk, they will call a cab or as long a I see it I will make sure they don't drive home drunk. For out of town guests, they will stay at the hotel after the reception as I have block off rooms for them to stay.

I'm torn between just hosting the wedding in a hotel so guests don't need to drive and/or getting a bus or discount on taxi.

We are assuming most of our guests will book at the hotel that is at the end of the street out venue is on, because almost everyone lives about an hour away.

We will be posting cab numbers, and I am now considering finding out what a drivers service might charge to get people from Toronto to our home town to post as welll. Drinking and driving isn't a game, and I would like to do everything I can to prevent it....especially as most of our guests are drinkers, and we are hosting an open bar.

The hotel I reserved a block at offers a free shuttle (1 to get there, 2 runs to get back to the hotel), so I'm really excited to be able to offer that!! I will also leave numbers for local cab companies and designated driver service (they get you and your car home).

Most our guests live in town or around town so they will be driving! For out of towners we have tons of hotels on the street of our venue and 3 of them are in walking distance so they can walk. For the other hotels they will either drive or will have to take a cab!

Certain family will wind up carpooling with each other! It works out that out-of-towners have family/friends to stay with.
