How to look for a student/beginner photographer?

Jamie, on December 3, 2019 at 16:10 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5

Wishfully, hoping to get a photographer under $1,000 or $1,500 not sure if that possible.
Any suggestions??

Look into photography contests and see who the winners were. They even have skills Canada competitions and things like that. It may sound silly but that's how I kind of found my photographer and she does amazing work, also in university, and she didn't charge me an arm and a leg for my wedding photos. Hopefully this helps!

Contact your local community college and see if they have upper year students building their portfolio. This also works for florists too.

Post an add on bridal Facebook sales pages, or on Kijiji. People might have used someone have suggestions, you might even have some amateur photographers reach out to you.

Check kijiji or let go or check out university websites and see if they have any postings.

Contact colleges or programs that offer student photographers as beginners. They may recommend someone that is interested to add to their portfolio.
