How much did you spend on std's, invites, thank you's & envelopes.

Jillian, on September 4, 2018 at 12:51 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 11

Looking to see how much you spent on everything paper-- envelopes, save the dates, invites(reply cards etcs) & thank you's. And how many you sent out. We are looking at about ~120-150. I plan on DIY'ing it all, even down to the envelopes Smiley smile

Thanks!

I’m predicting that everything (including postage) will cost me $600-$800 or so at the end of the day.

I'd say i had spent close to $275 - $350 about for all the invites, thank you cards, menu cards, return labels, envelope labels and personalized pen for 60 in total on vistaprint.

I second this. We got our invitations (x70), details inserts (x70), and a handful of RSVP cards (x10) (we are doing E-RSVPs on our wedding website), ALL with their own envelopes (total of 150), PLUS 80 Return address labels that match our invitations, taxes and shipping included, for $80.04 on the 50% off sale on Vistaprint.

I am all for DIY.... but honestly, that deal can't be beat. And the invitations look AMAZING. Great quality, sturdy card stock, and vibrant colours. I couldn't even DIY it for that much, let alone have it look that good.

I made my own Save the Date on Photoshop, and we sent that out electronically. People aren't expecting Save the Dates as much any more, and it's more of a formality. Anyone needing to travel will usually be addressed individually (I personally contacted my 6 out of town couples).

I also received discount codes to use for new orders on Vistaprint, as we are doing personalized thank you cards, that match the invitations, but the back side will have one of our wedding photos on it (we will order them the day after the wedding, before we leave on our honeymoon, so we can fill them out and mail them when we get home).

I was wrong so with the 50% off it’ll cost me $60 for 90 invites and 120 return address labels!

Once you’ve designed them print them through vistaprint. There’s nearly always some kind of sale and even without they’re super reasonable cost wise. I’ve got mine predesigned and I’m waiting on the next 50% off sale. (There’s one that ends today but my fiancé and I weren’t expecting it And didn’t have the money ready to go) if I get them during the 50% off sale I’ll be paying $80 for I think it was 80-85 invitations. (we’ve invited 120 but a lot of people are families or couples)

We got our invites done at vista print and emailed out save the dates. For 150 invitations and envelopes and our address stamp it was $138 and RSVP will be done online. I also want to take one of my many scrapbooks and hand paint our thank you cards.

We did save the dates as our wedding is on a long weekend. We printed ours on photo paper from Costco at .11 cents a piece totally a whopping $9.77 with tax!

We did online STD's and will probably go with VistaPrint for the actual invitations. (We won't be having paper RSVP's - guests can call us or RSVP on our wedding website on weddingwire).

I'm thinking that the cost will be roughly $2,000 all in as we are having 250 guests but will invited more if some say they can't make it.

We've also skipped on the save the dates. We'll be buying an invitation only on Etsy (+/- $30) and printing them via vistaprint, since it's much cheaper and they include free envelopes. We're also skipping the RSVP/Detail cards, as we've opted to build a website instead. The website was free and super easy to build (wix.com), but we'll be upgrading our RSVPify to include more perks in our RSVP options (about $30).

I've had a couple of friends have great success with the website options offered through theknot.com as well!

We skipped save the dates, opted instead for invites and response cards since many people were local. We paid $8 an invite. However, I fully support DIY everything! Many people here suggest VistaPrint, there is also Zazzle and Etsy!
